Teen Smoking...

the poll ended with relationship n teen life being a draw, so i will write on teen life this time n relationship in the next post's topic...
nowadays, many teenagers are smoking...

i m not 1 but i knew there are some*...
so, i m gonna write a review of my own on it...

based on wiki, smoking is a practice in which a substance, most commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke tasted or inhaled.
so, teen smoking can be said as teenagers practicing tobacco burning and smoke tasting or inhaling, literally...
smoking was around since 5000BC,
and since then, many ways was created based on the INNOVATIVE of human being...
example are...

basic cigaratte smoking, this was around 19XX(or maybe earlier)...

a bong aka water pipe...

smoking pipe, the one u see sherlock holmes holding...

cigar for rich people that don't know where to spend his money better...

hookah from the middle east...

this are some of the example of tools used to smoke...
and also tools used to kill all of those smokers out there...
smoking bring a lot of hazardous effect...

Among the diseases and afflictions that can be caused by smoking are vascular stenosis, lung cancer, heart attacks and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease...

For your information, inhaling the vaporized gas form of substances into the lungs is a quick and very effective way of delivering drugs into the bloodstream (as the gas diffuses directly into the pulmonary vein, then into the heart and from there to the brain) and affects the user within less than a second of the first inhalation...
as a result, the nicotine in the cigarette act in the fastest manner possible...

as we know, a lot of smokers actually started smoking at the early age of 13-16 due to influence from various sources...
reasons provided for smoking by them are...
  • relaxation(they get more "relaxed" later when their money runs out)
  • cool(they get cooler when their parents finds out)
  • they get their freedom out of smoking(really don't get what they actually meant but, who cares)
in Malaysia, reports shown that smoking among teen boys rose from 10 to 12 percent, while smoking among girls increased from 1 percent to 2 percent...
n those are statistic from 1985 till 1995...
n reports are saying today are worst then the yesterdays...
if you are a guy, i can still accept it as A BIT normal, but girls smoking at teenage, what do you want to show?
as if smoking is nice...

you cough like hell while you smoke and ur health condition deteriorate...
actually, an article in the star online gave the idea to write this review...
they reported that
Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said that the price for all the cigarette will increase to AT LEAST RM6.40 per pack of 20s...
this is an effort to decrease the percentage of youth smokers with the raise in price...
making it difficult for teenagers to purchase it with higher market price...
and promotions are limited to ONLY 3 times max per year, and no promo label or related can be printed on the box or related ads...

however, for those who are already smoking, do stop as it is bad for health...
drquit.com said that to stop smoking, 1st u must know the benefit of smoking so that you can replace the benefits with some other similar items...
in general, smoking are
  • Enjoyable
  • Cope with stressful situations
  • Relaxing
  • Combats boredom
  • Keeps weight down
  • Helps focus
  • Fights loneliness and depression

Focusing on the benefits of smoking is a good first step because:

  • better prepares you to quit
  • allows you replace the good side of smoking with things that are safer and healthier for you, while achieving similar results
